Keepsake Writing Club
Come on in and join our monthly Writing Club, a brand new program starting in 2026! A home for songwriters and storytellers to share their works in progress and hold each other accountable to practice, Keepsake Writing Club is a place for experimentation, encouragement, and community. After the first month, your work becomes the prompt, with songwriters and storytellers responding to and building off of each other’s pieces: from story to song, and from song to story.
FREE with RSVP. Water, coffee, and tea will be provided, but feel free to bring your own drinks and/or snacks.
The 3/22 Writing Club will be facilitated by Keepsake Co-founders Jasmine and Hailey. The theme is “Inner Child.” Please prepare work related to the theme or prompts below and be ready to share a written or musical piece that is no longer than 5 minutes:
Write a letter to your younger self.
What would you do today if you were 8 years old?
What memory comes to mind when you think of pure JOY?
What would you say to your inner child now?
Writing Clubs are unplugged (no amplification) and bring your own instrument / writing material.
RSVP to join and receive the address. No previous performance experience is required, but all work shared must be original, and artists should be self-selective and supportive of our three core values: to be diverse, equal, and intersectional. Because of these values, BIPOC and LGBTQ+ artists are strongly encouraged to sign up. Once you have joined and attend the club once, you are given preference to sign up for the next month. Unless / until the tickets say “sold out,” you may sign up and are automatically granted a confirmed slot.
